| In 1896 the building was known as Weiler's General Store, serving
the
needs of the early Avon settlers. In the 21st century, it has evolved into THE COUNTRY
STORE, a group of shops offering, antiques and handcrafts. Owned and operated by
Lois and Bob Shinko, in business for over 30 years. They sell antique furniture from the
1850's through the 1940's, and also feature glassware, gifts, garden accessories and
other interesting "finds". A specialty is the VICTORIAN BOUQUETS UNDER GLASS,
